Are you a dog person or a cat person? And why?
While I have nothing against cats I am most assuredly a dog person. The reason is because of the joy that they bring to life. There is nothing so great as coming home to a dog who is overjoyed that you are back. To see them so happy and playful makes even the most miserable days so much better. There is nothing like having a puppy fall asleep in your lap as he sighs with contentment. To me a dog brings more joy to life than any other animal can. A dog is reminder to love often, unconditionally, and always to forgive. I can't imagine my life without my puppy bailey.

Good answer. In my opinion, though, cats can be the same way... They just express their emotions completely differently. For instance, my cat may not jump all over the place when I get home, but he lets me know that he's happy by meowing (a LOT) and wanting in my lap and purring. He can make my worst days enjoyable too, much like you described. He even curls up next to me in bed every night. Cats aren't all selfish and uncaring like people think they are...
@Soul_Pizza - you make an excellent point. I have known many lovely cats and see exactly what you mean. I guess it just boils down to personal preference in the end. there is no right or wrong and that is what makes it so much fun. Thanks for the comment!
